Here we go again - I'm hatching more goslings!! - Page 155

That appears to be the plan. In a little bit, I will weigh/mark eggs... and then get them settled into my bator.  Will take pics of how I prop the problem air cell eggs. FYI, I heard from my dewlap seller... she says that her buffs are winding down, but her greys are still laying like crazy.

Well, my strongest is still going strong... but the others are all questionable.  The temp and humidity had both dropped a little, so steaming room up to get levels back where I want them... then will open bator to take a closer look to see who is still hanging on.

My menagerie includes 5 horses, 3 dogs, 4 cats, 32 geese (dewlap toulouse & african) and 10 ducks (muscovy, ancona, cayuga & silver appleyard).

Mine are weighed and marked already. One is a lot smaller than the others.Weights are 140, 176, 178. All have detached air cells and one looks like it may be a bit scrambled. Guess We'll see.

I called Carole the other day and she was driving and said she would call me back in an hour, but she never did. I've just been busy and haven't tried her back, plus I was contemplating just ordering goslings. But then I'm so worried if something happens with the po and having live babies get lost...ugh. And then I found a place where I can order both dewlaps and sebbies - www.thequackhouse.com

Thoughts??

I hope your babies make it!

I too just finished weighing/marking my eggs and have eggs from as small as upper 130s to pushing 200 grams.  Quite the range from all of them.

thequackhouse.com is one of the top dewlap sellers in the country.  She is also the 3 day auction for buff dewlap eggs on ebay right now. I expect Carole will list another buy it now special on ebay today/tomorrow, but I can email her for you, if you'd like?  She just sent me an email with pics of her new hatchlings this morning, so she is probably expecting a reply from me today.

My weight ranges I mentioned are just from erijns eggs. I'm surprised they are so different. One must be a newer layer.

Ya you can mention it to Carole if you want. Thanks! I like quack house's birds. They don't have any seb eggs though. So I guess I need to decide on what to do. I love hatching, but I'm new to it and there's always a risk of no success.

UGH I'm too indecisive!!!

I love my animals, they are my life and I couldn't imagine it without them!

If someone says, "Don't do that! You wasn't raised in a barn!" I can honestly say, "I was too raised in a barn!"
