They are Pekin ducks. A friend of mine gave me some to try out since she doesn't hatch any. I appreciate the offer, but I'm just going to stick with what I've got right now and try again next year. smile.png
I love my animals, they are my life and I couldn't imagine it without them!

Congrats on the new baby ducklings!!  Why do you say that about the muscovys not looking promising? What day are they on?

My menagerie includes 5 horses, 3 dogs, 4 cats, 33 geese (dewlap toulouse & african) and 11 ducks (muscovy, ancona, cayuga & silver appleyard).

They are on day 34, and There is just more space than I like in the pointy ends of most of the shells.  They were out cooling with the goslings, and I forgot about them for an extra 30 minutes.  I think I they chilled about 5 days ago.  But, I still see some veins, so maybe.....  You know how it is.

I just candled them and 4 of the better looking ones have tipped cells, but no shadows.

 

MY BUFF DEWLAPS EGGS FROM CAROLE ARE IN TOWN AND ON THEIR WAY TO MY EAGER INCUBATORS!!

 

She said she also sent a surprise.  ( I hope its NOT an african or chinese fl.gif)
