Well, baby was faced the wrong way. I was able to find its head, and was slowly able to get it free from where it was trapped under its foot. It's breathing, but pretty weak. I did get a little peep out of it. I washed out an egg half and cupped it over part of the hole I had to make (rather larger than I would have liked) and covered most of the rest with damp gauze. We'll see what happens... I tried to get some pics, but they just aren't coming out clearly enough with my phone, and I can't find the @#$% camera.
Gal and her guy on acreage with 3 dogs, a cat, 21 layers and a roo, 3 Toulouse and 1 African goose (Sweet Girl, Baby Girl, Bitor, and Affie), 2 runner ducks, a pair of blue swedish ducks, 7 guineas. Depending on the season, we may also have pekin ducks, cornish cross chickens, turkeys, and pigs (durocs this year!).
