Desperately Seeking Backyard Chicken supporters for my graduate research!

Please help!

I'm gathering data for my graduate thesis on Backyard Chicken campaigns.

If you know of a town or city that has recently or is about to adopt or change backyard chicken ordinances or laws, please post the name of the city or town here.

Also, if you know the name of a primary organizer of the campaign, please provide that, too.

Even better, if the organizer is willing, please ask them to email me @malekfamily5@bellsouth.net, so that I can interview them.

I am conducting research on the communication strategies of this grassroots movement which will hopefully help future Backyard Chicken activists have an easier time in changing ordinances and laws to allow backyard chickens in more areas.

Thanks so much!

A Google search turned up this article about Galveston, TX passing an ordinance last November... http://www.caller.com/news/2011/nov/22/city-to-allow-backyard-chickens-after-rewriting/

2 daughters, 1 husband, 2 dogs, 1 hermit crab, 2 hens, 8 laying pullets & 2 chicks.

I know Arlington, VA had an article in the local paper (Washington Post) about backyard chickens and the current movement to be legal there. Hope that helps some.
