Where to put my new chicks?

I am planning on getting 15 new chicks in a month and already have 4 beautiful Wyandotte girls. My question is could I build a cage in the chicken coop to put the new babies in so they could maybe get aquainted early? Would this help to acclaimate the big girls to the little girls when it is time for them to leave the cage? I hope this could help a little anyway.
 
you have to make a brooder and get a heat lamp, a waterer, and feeder. you also have to have the brooder inside for about 5-6 weeks then you can move them with the other ones. but you need to put a heat lamp in a spot were they can get to it if they get cold(when there outside).

You can if you use a heat lamp. I would actually do as the pinkbabyhall said until they are feathered, I put mine out as soon as they are feathered.
 
You can put them in a cage in the coop, as long as they have a heat source. Just make sure the other chickens can't get to them and they can stay warm and they'll be just fine. Good luck...
 
The chicks can be outside in a brooder from day 1. . . in nature they are outdoors. Just keep them free from drafts, give a heat source, food, water, etc. and make sure the hens cant get their beaks or claws through to them. I am about to be building a coop with a brooder built either inside or built on the outside wall of the coop that can hold up to 25 or so chicks till feathered in. I have a brooder indoors right now but am going to get away from that whole setup soon, I might keep them indoors first week or 2 but I dont need to, I just let them get stronger and bigger inside and eating the medicated feed.
 
Thanks to everyone for answering my question! I have the heat lamp and all of that because I got my Wyandotte girls last spring and had them in a brooder. I don't want to use the same building I did last year because my son makes burl wood clocks in that area and it needs to stay dust and feather free as he uses a liquid bar top on his clocks. That is why we came upon this idea. I was thinking of using chicken wire for the sides of this brooder cage but now I think I need to use something with smaller holes. I think the babies would try to stay away from the big girls but I need to be sure.

My little ones are SO interested in my big chickens. I had my 4 1/2 week olds outside a couple days ago since it was finally warm enough, and they just stood there watching the big girls free range, then once the big ones noticed them they came running and got within like 2 feet, looked at the little ones for a sec, and then began scratching away in the garden again. I was surprised because I remember last year when adding 2 new additions to the flock, the hens chased them around for days beating their butt lol I stayed with my hand by the little ones to throw a block from the hens if it seemed like they were going to get aggressive. But they didnt. Didnt seem to pay them much attention and my rooster kept his distance too. For the first few weeks I would try preventing them from being wide open to the cold air blowing all over.
 
Im doing this right now, my chicks are 5 weeks they seem to be doing just fine still use light at night because its been a little cool here in Fl. They are with my 5 grown Ladys who have so far not cared that they are with them they are in a cage im planning on 3 more weeks before letting them out with the others in the run. i have 10 foghorns. and 3 grown roadiland Reds, one Black and white and one Black and Gold forget their names.i am sorry i have 11 babys.
