I'm looking for a tabletop incubator with a thermostat so I can set the temp and so that it will adjust the temp without me having to manually change it! Somthing like the Hova bator Genesis 1588 but if anyone knows anything similar or cheaper that they would recomend I would love to hear back!
Thank you - Dan

I like my 1588 and have great hatches with it, so I would say go with that if you want the larger capacity but lower price than the Brinsea or others. The new 1588s have a digital display as well. I am going to get one of those soon to replace my 2362.

Anyone else have any suggestions?

The 1588 has an electronic thermostat......it will give you a much better hatch rate than the incubators with solid state and wafer thermostats. We just got our new shipment of the new model LCD displays and they are 100% easier to adjust than the old model. Also the electronic thermostat is a must if your incubator is somewhere that the temperature fluctuates like a barn/shed/basement. Hope this helps.

brinsea.com has a special going right now, might check them, i just got a mini eco advance, and am finding it very simple and uncomplicated- depends on the size of hatches you want too

I have Hoverbator 1602N and Brinsea Eco 20. I only adjust once when first got them. It is off about 1deg. There is no need to adjust the temperature every time to use it. The manufacture already preset the incubator to 99-101F. The problem you may have is the worker at the factory did a sloppy job adjust to the correct temp or the thermometer being use is off.

Oh thanks guys for posting I appreciate it! I am looking for a bator that holds 25-40 eggs at a time! And does the Hovabator 1602N have an automatic thermostat or is it manual because my house temp varies alot and an aoutomatic thermostat would be best and its what I am looking for! :D Thanks again

The 1602n has a wafer plate, it dosn't have pre-set electronic. I have the new 1588 genisis and find that the temp is warmer up on top than on the eggs.. I still put a temp and lay them over the eggs. It is a great machine.
