I recently picked up enough materials from our scrap pile at work to buld a 10' x 14' coop and attached run pretty much however big we want to make it.
I got a whole bunch of 4'x4' panels of gridwall (store display rack type stuff) at a great price, so for now that is what the run will be made of.
There are 2 roosters in this part, (one is in the box), for the time being. They will be separated when we get a couple hens for each of them.
There are 3 separate areas - the one with the plywood on top is 64 sq ft - to the left of that is a 96 sq ft area, in the back is a 144 sq ft area. We will be getting another rooster and hen tomorrow, and maybe 5 or 6 hens next week.
Total area of all 3 pens = 304 sq ft...I think I did pretty good.
I Will post pics of the coop in progress. Hopefully we'll start on it next weekend.
What do you think? Opinions and advice welcome
