Oh. That's good to know. I'm thinking my grandmother's hens must have had calcium problems big time though cuz she said it was a regular thing with hers.

I'm not even sure she knows that she's even passing an egg. I find them all over the place, like she's just pooping them out...lol

That's funny stuff. I got one the other day, I havn't cracked it open yet. I think I will when I get home!

I also have had 2-3 shell less eggs. Usually they are laid during the night and broken in the morning. Luckily the pine chips make it easy to clean up. smile.png

I have a wonderful husband, 2 beautiful daughters, 2 dogs, 2 Boer/Oberhasli goats... and then the chickens: 5 Buff Orps, 2 Black Australorps, 2 Silver Laced Wyandottes (One's a Roo), 1 Barred Rock, 2 Black Sex Links and 1 Easter Egger.  Just hatched my own barnyard mixes- a BO/SLW and an EE/SLW.

Got all different color eggs yesterday and was surprised to see the tiny one in the nesting box. I have found huge, double yolk eggs before but never a miniature one!

OMG. That little egg looks like a poster child for anti-bullying day, which is today.

Those big eggs look so intimidating. 

Or maybe, just maybe they're all circling in for a group hug.
