Kelly, Please don't use the other diagram I made for you, this is the correct one. I edited the other post, but just wanted you to NOT use the other diagram.

Thank you Fat DAddy, I am "cooking" Gambel and coturnix quail. My first try I ended up with 4 hatching, 1 diedsad.png, so thought I would keep trying.

I am concerned about putting them outside so have built a brooder out of plastic bins to keep in garage and eventually will put them outside.

We actually have snow right now!!!!

Hey Kelly, Dollar gen around here sells a 4" desk fan. Cheap, simple one speed and real quiet, I leave the switch on and cut the wire plug off. Wire them direct. On a nice little wire stand that you can use as is. I drilled holes in "J" clips for build'n wire cages. Then used those with screws as hold downs for the wire stand. Bill

cut my vent holes today then plugged it in to test the connections ....sitting on my test bench outside in the open with 4 vents open it only took 4 minutes to come up to temp and the wind was blowing...after reaching temp it would cycle on and off about every 5 minutes but it held temp and that's in the wind.

I will post more once i get the vents and seal installed.

In case you are wondering the switches light up when turned on, they are in this order from left to right ,Power , heating element , fan , turners.

the heating element and fan are both hooked to the thermostat.

what did you use for a heating element?
