Found a fan~! At wal-mart. 16-ish bucks, and it better work or I'll Be one angry camper. I tested the model one out and it was really strong, with 2 speeds.

Glad your incubator works awesome(not tha i'd expect any less). I went to home depot and found out what white-board was. It's suprisingly cheap. o_O but my-oh-my, is plywood expensive! It's 20 bucks for a junker sheet! And later on I'll definately purchase some of that white board [but I'll get the one with reflective side(s)]. My styrafoam is taking a heck of a beating.

Love all the great incubator designs; is it me or do they keep getting better and better?

Next, I'll be on the hunt for a old coffee pot or a crock pot...!

you must not be finding the white board I use as mine was 35.00 for a 3x6 sheet

yes plywood is expensive what I bought was 65.00 a sheet and it takes just over a sheet for this incubator

FYI: When you are looking for crockpots for the heating element, I found that the older ones can be just fine wire that doesn't work well for heating a bator.

WOW that awesome! Very Nice looking too I might add! Did you stain it or paint it? I also wanted to Thank You for  your help and advice when I was building my bators. My new hatcher is so much nicer and chicks have room to move and not walk on each other  so, I Love it!!!

And here I was just about to ask you about that! wink.png so the older models work better? I had somethin else to ask, I think, but I kinda forgot. So tired...

No, the older models have very fine wire for the element, not suitable for an incubator. You want to find one that uses a metal band for a heating element, as opposed to the thin wires.

In the beginning there was nothing. God said, Let there be light! And there was light. There was still nothing, but you could see it a whole lot better. Ellen DeGeneres
also//////// Y'all also need to check out my homemade cooler incubator, my homemade fridge-a-bator, and my cabinet incubator on my BYC page.

Huh, well that's interesting. I'll copy Fried Green Egg's general idea in my dresser-bator.

Thank-you quintinp! It works perfectly now. I don't think i'd have gotten it right otherwise.
