Same here! Got mine 18 years ago (sheesh, didn't realize it was that long ago till now). Honestly, I (naively) didn't even know about "tramp stamps" at the time. Just thought it would be a cool place for a tattoo. I was never a tramp, and am still not. In fact, that tattoo is a combination of my husband's and my astrological signs. I've got a little daisy on my upper left arm. I'm an avid gardener and love flowers.That was my first one at age 19. I like simple tattoos, with little to no color. My daisy looks like a thin lined sketch, with white petals. The symbol on my back is all black. Thankfully, where both tattoos are, my skin hasn't changed much. Between all the years, 2 pregnancies, and gravity, my body has changed alot, yet both tattoos look pretty much the same.  I'd still love to get another, just isn't financially justifiable right now. Had my nose pierced twice. First time, before I was pregnant. My daughter kept smacking it as a baby while nursing, so I eventually had to take it out, because it was becoming quite irritated. Had it done again, but just didn't seem to heal well, so I took it out permanently. Got my belly button pierced at around 20yrs old too. At the time, precautions were 6 month with no hot tubs, swimming, etc. About a week after my 6 months point, it tore. I was so mad. Didn't have that done again. Probably a good thing. Would of not been able to stand that pregnant anyway. I think some tattoos look beautiful, some are very gaudy.It's true you have to live with a tattoo for the rest of your life (although, there are procedures to have them removed now). However, I can think of things that would be alot worse to live with, than some ink on your skin. 

Oh, and personally, I like sleeve tattoos, on guys, too. 

I saw a shop in Springfield last week called Second Thoughts. They offered the laser removal of tattoos.

I love tattoos and I love sleeves on guys.

I got my first tattoo 8 years ago, the words "I Believe" on my lower back. A reminder that everything's possible when you believe. I made a promise to someone during that time that I will always have faith, always.

Just after I got married my DH, who is a tattoo artist, put his initial, A, on my wedding ring finger. Tattoo's forever and I intend to stay married to him 'till death. (He has my name tattooed on his finger).

I won't get a tattoo just for pretty, but I plan to get more, all to mark things I feel strongly about.

Any tattooist worth a grain of salt wouldn't give you a tattoo if you were drunk.

I have a small colorful butterfly on my shoulder. Most of the time I forget it is there. Very few people know about it

Dr. Ruth said once that men that get tattoos on their lower arm or near there that it is to compensate for an inadequate feeling of masculinity especially when it is put in a very visible place.
