Maybe, I stood in my drive one Saturday morning and I heard two other roosters that were at a half mile and three quarter miles away,  The other direction from were my friend heard mine.  Its funny how much you can hear and be heard when your on a high point of land.

I don't get better with age, only more confused(ing).

I have silkie rooster and we can not hear it in the house because it does not crow loud but you can still hear it outside

 

I have 5 silkies, 8 leghorns, 1 rode island red that we found abandoned on the side of a road, 6 New Hampshire Reds and 9 other rode island reds, 1 dog, and too many fish
