I was there around 9:15 only two there,  wish I had seen you were bringing or would bring the eggs, I think I spoke to you too.  I check this site before I left but it was not there.  I don't know many people yet from the group,  hope to change that this summer.  I am hoping to participate in the swaps soon,  right now, after the winter my birds don't look to good since they like the mud.  I will have some pullets to bring maybe next time.  I also have some silkies that I would like to sell, I bought them last summer as chicks thinking I would get into them but because of my situation here I can't.  I also have some black cochins bantys to sell also. These I also bought as chicks last summer.  I will also be hatching chicks as of the 17th.

I did go, but didn't bring any birds.

The weather was a bit too cold for me and Ryan, especially since we both have a cold right now. sickbyc.gif

I have plenty of bantam cochins and belgian bearded d'uccles to sell.

It seems folks are still wanting silkies and large fowl birds, so that's good news for folks who have them.

As long as there is snow on the ground around here, I think buyers and sellers will be a bit reluctant to be hanging around in a cold parking lot.

Also, I think folks are looking for CHEAP and something full grown that will hit the ground laying big eggsgig.gif

totally agree Joanie, most want them at point of lay and/ or  cheap. I've decided that after last yr of raising all those extra boys just ot give them away, they will all go to auction early.

my birds need to pay for their grain at least

If you love your chicken, thank a breeder. NPIP tested

Hoppy, which auction do you go to?

I used to use Clark's in Skowhegan to sell birds, but I'm not sure that they are in business now.

I know there's one in Fairfield, but I'm not sure of where it is and their schedule????

the people that used to auction at clark's opened their own in fairfield. it's on mondays and birds are auctioned off last. I don't know what the latest is to drop off birds is (maybe give them a call) but they normally don't start selling until 3-4pm in the warmer months after they have done all the othe livestock
