hard boil fresh eggs?

cool the egg in the same pan you boiled them in. let cool for about 2 mins . crack egg slightly, then roll it to crack all over then peel under running water. that shell will come off real easy. Hope this helps.

x2, if you crack them when they're warm, and put them in ice water, the shells come off really easy.

I, too, bring the water to a boil, and then lower the eggs in. If it's just one or two, using a ladle works well. But if you've got a bunch - like lots of people do for Easter egg dying - I find it works to bundle them into a kitchen towel and lower them together, then just leave the towel in there. It works great. If you have a steamer basket or something that would work, too. But I don't.

How do you clean your fresh eggs before you boil them? I am new to fresh eggs and read that bacteria can get into eggs when submerged. Does boiling kill the bacteria?
