I got one earlier this year that was almost as big as the coyote I shot.  They both hang in my garage awaiting to be tanned.  I shot a lot of coons before I really started thinking about how much fur was being wasted.  This summer I am going to try NOT trapping them around the coup and wait for fall when the fur is prime, then it's game on!

The raccoons near my place in the woods are HUGE this year. We saw a scurry near the garbage cans after dark. I said, "Holy *bleep* was that a small bear?!?" Hubby said, "No, I think it was a raccon, but WOW it was big. I'll be back with the .22," I said, "Maybe you should get the .50 cal- that thing was HUGE!" Even the porcupines are bigger this year. It makes me glad we spent the time to make sure the coop and run are secure with heavy-duty welded wire and a zapper. Good luck.
