Would a hawk kill a full grown cat?

Mama to thirteen chickens (Amy, Tilda, Lily, Adam, Esther, Junior, April, Ella, Sofia, Brett, Davie, Elsie, and Hayley.  ). I lost my favorite chicken Nov. 25th 2012 to my cat Demi. She was a mix breed bantam. I also lost five White Silkies to a raccoon. two cats (Demi and Lulu), one Angus bull calf, (T-Bone), sister to seven siblings, and incredible daughter to one Grateful Daddy and Mommy.

I'm not certain.  A great horned owl would definately give a cat a try, and if hungry/inexperienced enough a hawk might do the same.
