Do you ever use an all natural wormer? Does it work?

I just hate the idea of having to throw out all of my eggs for 2 wks after worming my flock.  My husband doesn't think that an all natural wormer would work.  What is your experience?

My 4yo son tried to hatch an egg in his bedroom, in an Easter basket with his favorite blanket and Curious George!!

They usually don't. Better, if you want "all natural" is to use them more as prevention. If you dont' want to throw away eggs, use Eprinex pour on. 5 drops on the back of the head/neck for standard chicken. No egg withdrawl time. Drawback here is that it doesn't get every type of worm there is. But it does get mites.

I don't care why the chicken crossed the road, as long as mine don't!

I agree with Galanie. What you pay for an organic product and not knowing the correct dosage is putting a hole in your wallet and risking the health of your chickens. A 125ml bottle of safeguard liquid goat wormer costs about $17 and will last you a long time. It is a very safe wormer and eliminates all but 1 type of worm. Two weeks disposing of eggs is a small price to pay for healthy chickens. Remember, your environment dictates how often you should worm.

Amen. Dawg53 is the "one" to listen to for worming advice.
