What time of day do your Hens Lay? - Page 6

I've got one wellsumer that lays between 7 and 8.  The rest lay before noon, mostly.  Occasionally they'll lay later in the afternoon, but not later than 3 or so.

Gotta hatch 'em all! Check out my blog! http://texasfarmwife.atwebpages.com/
Home made incubator, up and running and in it's test phase. It's DY-NO-MITE!

Chicken math, because story problems are hard

Ours lay mostly before 10, but we do get one holdout that will go to 1 or 2 in the afternoon.

Really early. 5-6AM, as soon as the sun is up really. We used to be able to watch them lay around 9 or 10 in the morning, but they've obviously decided they want to be early birds. lol.png

Our ladies seem to lay in the afternoon. I am usually able to collect eggs between 2pm and 4pm.
