He ducked under some ferns and into EagleClan camp. Cats parted and hissed at the newcomer, their eyes dark and unwelcoming.

 

From a blackened den not far emerged a slender, grey she-cat. She raised her ears a little, but did nothing about her warriors. She blinked once, parted her jaws in a yawn and arched her back in a stretch, her powerful muscles rippling under her short fur. The she-cat sat down, and her warriors revealed Skylark, the warriors moving to the she-cat's side.

 

"What brings you here?" The she-cat snapped, her tail lashing once, silencing her warriors.
