I have only been to it once. That was the fourth of July weekend. There was probably more sellers there then buyers for a large portion of the day. It also rained early on. Later in the swap the buyers came out. I did pretty well.
They say that there is usually around 200 people there.
We'll just have to see what happens this next time.
Red golden pheasants pair
bamboo partridge hen
royal palm turkeys adults and young
young black spanish turkeys
young cochin chickens
various duck breeds (inquire)
Will there be a September swap meet? Next Saturday?
I'd like to buy 4-5 laying hens. I'm always wary of buying laying hens at a swap meet, but would from someone who had a decent reputation on Backyard Chicken. If no layers available, I'd settle for older pullets 3 mo old+. No breed preference as long as it's a laying or dual purpose breed. Ideally I'd like a mix of breeds. Anybody bringing birds that fit the bill?
I know this thread is old, but we have just found out about the Turkey Creek Swap and hope to go in March. We have only lived in the Joplin area since Sept and just got our first chicks about a week ago
