My turkey poults keep dying and I'm at a loss

Out of 10, now I'm down to 4 after two weeks.  They have proper heat.  They have plenty of water.  No sign of disease on any of them now.  When I check in the morning, they all look healthy and great.  12 hours later, one will be dead.  I'm at a loss.  The only thing I can think of is that the feed store feed that I have is 20%, which is the highest they had.  I know 28% is optimal, but that shouldn't be killing them, should it?

I don't think it should be killing them... are there any other symptoms?  How does the poop look?  What are you using for heat?  If it's a light, is it red or white?  (Sometimes a white light causes birds to cannibalize) Do they have enough space?

Editing to add that you can cook up some egg yolk to up the protein a bit...

There are no symptoms.  Their poop looks really healthy.  Their area right now is 2' by 6', so there is plenty of space (they only use half of that space now). There is a white light, and one of them was going around pecking at the others, but I got rid of her and none of the others are picking on each other.  I do have medicated water for the past week, but it's right where it should be.  I'll go out and sit with them for an hour and watch them, and they're all perfectly normal and healthy appearing.  Then I'll come back that night or the next morning and one of them will be dead.  No sign of any animals getting in, nothing.  I'm truly at a loss.

where are you located, meaning how is the weather where you are at, where is the brooder located?

I raised my turkeys in a round kiddie pool, indoor, for 2 weeks, no medicated water just medicated turkey starter, I added sugar water for the first 2 days then switched to regular fresh water.

gotta ask, but have you seen them drink their water?? I put coloured marbles in their water, and I made sure to introduce them to their water and feed several times so I knew they were aware where their food and water is.

a white light might stress them out, and seeing turkeys are so fragile this might be the cause of it. I always start mine out with a red heat lamp and then after a few days I move them where they can get natural light during the day and darkness at night....

its hard to say what is really going on here, if the heat is right and the feed is good and there are no symptoms...really puzzling, but stress could be the issue.

how old are they by the way?? is it possible they are trampling each other due to not enough room??

keep us posted.

Thanks for the response.  I'll switch to a red light just because I can't think of anything else.  They are 2 weeks old, and have plenty of room.  I'm in Oregon, so the temp is anywhere between 40 as a low and up to the high 50s.  They are in a completely enclosed area.  Here is about 1/3 of their space (the chickens aren't there because we gave them away as soon as we got them).  There brooding area extends another couple of feet where you can't see it.
