seem like a good breed, if i had the room i would probably raise a batch of them they seem like they would be a good 4h starter show bird...considering i dont see many of this breed in my class...

Hi! I am British and relocated to Cary NC, as a relocation of my other halves work. I used to keep 4 hens back in the UK (Plymouth Barred Rock, Light Sussex and 2 Partridge Pekin Bantams). A chicken breeder friend of mine is looking after them for me. I miss them so much, but I do get to visit them every few months. I also used to work part time at the same friends farm, cleaning and caring for the chickens and ducks, which I used to love.

Although I don't have hens here in NC (a law is hopefully about to be passed in Cary to allow backyard hens), I joined BYC for a chicken fix! Maybe even meet some people in the local area that may let me come for a hen hug occasionally!
