My new little Bantam Cochin! *Need your opinion on names, etc.* - Page 3

Pretty girl! She looks like a "Pansy"

I have a gorgeous banty black cochin. I named her Lava as a chick. That name changed. One day when I was out in the yard she came running towards me. Her feathers are so thick it makes her really look fat and she looked like she was waddling as she ran. It gave me a good laugh and I changed her name to Fat Albert!

She is over a year old and has never laid an egg but I can't cull her because I am too attached! big_smile.png

A new little bantam cochin is joining our family today! wee.gif

My guess is that she'll be a mottled. Her mommy was a black, and her dad I think was a mottled!

Found out more information on the dad. He didn't really have one specific color. He carried many different genes in his blood and feathering. But...as my little cochin chick starts to grow, I can see her wings turning out black and white! AHHHHH! I love Bantam cohins...they do have one side effect though....they are sooooo addictive!!! Curse those cute fluffy butts!
