Bobwhite eggs.... tomorrow is day 21......

41 Bobwhite eggs in the Hovabator 1588.  Temp is at 99.5, humidity is at 60-65%. 

 

Tomorrow is day 21.  Just checking to see if my plan sounds right to you guys......

 

Stop turning tomorrow, lockdown, set upright. 

 

WHAT TEMP/HUMIDITY ADJUSTMENTS SHOULD I MAKE FOR HATCHING?

Stop turning eggs TODAY. And also today, you want to up the humidity to 70%.Run the same temp you have going now.  I have had them start zipping on day 22...so sit back, grab a sandwich and enjoy the show!

So, you're saying day 20 is the day to stop turning and up the humidity, right?  Not day 21?

Correct. Day 20 is the day to stop turning. The embryo's need a few days to get into postion before zipping. 3 days before hatch is pretty much the norm to stop egg turning and being that bobs normally hatch at day 23, day 20 is the day to stop turning and up the humidity.
