Hi and welcome to BYC from northern Michigan frow.gif

Home of the world's cutest dachshund, one crazy blue heeler, two cats,
one fat pony, and many (but not too many!) chickens

Can anyone tell me, how many are too many chickens?

Did they tell you how many chickens you can have if you are zoned agricultural? I would like to find out as I have a friend who is interested in keeping some chickens in Lee's Summit.

Hello! Also in Lee's Summit! So glad you are here. I'm new to chickens, too. I want them here in the back yard and not far away like my babies are now are now, but as you know the law here sucks. But I think we can change it! In case you were not aware, there WAS a council hearing last fall, but it failed as there didn't seem to be enough interest. We need to network and find others who want it changed and they have another go at it.

And then I have to get my husband to stop worrying what the neighbors might think! Who cares?
