setting up for an April Fools Day hatch...

36 going into the 'bator tomorrow( the most we have ever tried hatching... Yay)... Should hatch April first, which would be awesome since it is both my GF's, and her kid sister's B-Day...

That this universe, in all it's infinite wonder, simply is, that it exists at all, is good enough for me. In my eyes, to say that something had to "create" it, to make it what it is, only succeeds to cheapen the experience, to make it less special.

candled at day 7... looks like we are down to 34... one total dud( absolutly nothing showing) and one with a blood ring... the rest look ok though

An April 1 st hatch? You must be joking.

There's so little to fear from hatching even chickens dare. In fact, it's so easy a turkey can do it.

Hey that is awsome, I also will be hatching on April 1st. It was accidental but it will be great to have them born on that day. I only set 25 eggs, 2 were not fertal and looks like one has a blood ring. But that is ok, this is my first hatch. Good luck to you.

Proud Momma of 5 wonderful children. Support from the greatest husband at my side. Kept company by a Great Dane, Mastiff and a Dane/Lab/Shepherd mix. Pest control from 2 cats, Pigs now in the freezer. Turkeys didn't make it past the Hollidays. Many breakfasts and lots of laughs and great times provided by over 30 adult LF chickens of many breeds! Now on our adventure to buy a new Farm.

wow... turned out to be our worst hatch to date... 30 made it to lock down, we were so psyched... but only two hatched ... the rest dead in the shell... looked like they didn't make it past day 18 for some reason... not really sure what went wrong hu.gif...
