I am so happy he had a wonderful home with you and now will be going to another wonderful home. I know you will miss him, but be happy for him at a big farm with lots of other chickens and a loving family.

He is beautiful. You are doing the right thing. (((hugs)))

I had to give two roosters away, and I still miss them terribly. If I ever had to give my 3d rooster away, I would just die!  I can't imagine how heartbreaking it would be.

I worry that the two I gave away to the farmer may have been killed by a fox or other predators.  I e-mailed the wife, but she never e-mailed me back, and I take that as a very bad sign.

P.S. Maybe I can build a soundproof pen for my one remaining boy?  We live near a busy freeway, and if I positioned the new coop correctly, I don't think the neighbors could hear him crowing?  I need an acoustics expert.

Awwwwwww. I'm so sorry Rebecca. That's very sad.  Hopefully you'll be able to visit.
