I'm very sorry. He sounds like a wonderful guy.

I have had to rehome several times- with chickens that I really loved. It's really hard the first day without them, but then when you think about the happy home they are in, you feel better.

I know how you feel. I just said goodbye to my beloved roosters a couple weeks ago.

could you send me instructions?  i have a rooster, Ray that I just love, but he's getting kind of mean. 

 

last night he had to start sleeping in a box in the porch because he was crowing too early in the coop.  i'd move heaven and earth to keep him.
