Thanks! Good luck! How many eggs did you set? Now it gets interesting for you!
I opened the lid a few times but was careful that when I did there were no major pips. I grabbed the shells out and last night took out the two that hatched first. After this one hatched I scooped out the two bantams that hatched yesterday. I only opened the lid for about 3 seconds and the humidity only dipped about 2%. The chicks were getting rambunctious in there so I had to get them out. It wasn't a big deal and did no harm at all.

Excellent coverage of the exciting event and what cute babies. Today is lock-down day for us and I'm so excited I can't hardly stand it. This too is our 1st attempt at hatching eggs and according to everything I have read on this amazing site we are right on schedule. I went through my final check list this morning and have even remembered to put the bright pink post-it note on the lid of the incubator that says "Do Not Open Lid", I am hoping beyond hope that is enough to keep me from just taking a peek once the little fluffers make their appearance. Hubby has promised he would duct tape my hands to my sides if he catches me closer then arms length of the incubator. He is so good to me! Keep us posted of your new additions progression. Have a Blessed Day.
