I am very very jeliouse of you guys..... I still have no pips and now have only noticed one egg moving once in a while. Dose that mean that the others are dead?

The color on these chicks is just amazing.  I will buy some eggs from you should you decide you want to sell any.. I have never seen them this color before only the generic color at the farm stores.  Congrats on your success.wee.gif

Thanks everyone. It has been a real long weekend with # 7 hatching just about an hour ago. We have one EE egg left and I will give it a couple of days before I give up on it. When the chicks dry out it is amazing to see the colors. Louie certainly is throwing his color genes in a big way. I'll be curious to see what they look like when mature. Elkie certainly was the epitome of the "ugly duckling" who blossomed into a beautiful swan but I'm getting any of the ugly in her chicks. All chicks seem healthy. I have a ramp in the brooder to get up to the food and water that sits on a shelf. They can go under to get some cover and get away from the heat lamp if they desire and once they discovered the ramp it was like 3rd graders at recess. I may video that scene as it is too funny to watch them go up down and hop off the shelf over and over.

Here is #5. An EE mix.

Here is #7. Another EE mix just hatched.
