I noticed one of my hens walking slow and with her legs father apart than normal. She's eating ok. I felt her belly and it was very bloated and soft. I compared that to another hen and it felt flat and not soft. Any ideas on what is wrong? Any suggestions would be very appreciated since my hens are pets to me.

What your decribing sounds kind of what I experienced with one of my hens a while ago. Here is a picture of what she looked like.

She walked like a Sumu wrestler. Unfortunately it ended up being ascites (fluid in the abdomen). I hope it isn't, because the prognosis isn't a good one. I hope this helps.

Apple Orchard plus... 300 assorted chickens, 1 goose, 30 sheep, 3 llamas and 2 dogs.
