how much feed do you use a month? - Page 2

I get the Amish feed mill 16% ground layer mash mix.. It has some powdery content so I have found that mixing warm water into it makes it a soft pasty mush.. Because it is wet they get a lot of their daily water needs and it keeps them from rooting through it and tossing the feed everywhere.. We tried crumbles and pellets in gravity feeders but the darling pick through it for the big chunks and waste the rest all over the place.. Now that the grass and clover are growing again we are seeing them leave some in the trough and bolt straight for the field to scratch and peck more.. Had to set up the spare water pan outside the hen house because we hit 80 deg. today in Ohio..

I have 28, 12 weeks chickens, 4 8wks buffs, 7 1 yr hens.  I'm going through 50lb bag a week plus garden  left overs. I used to have 50. then I was buying 8 bags a month.  Does this sound right?

i don't know but none of the eggs ended up hatching then we ended up getting 11 chicks so far 4 have died so we R down to 7 chicks and about to get rid of 2 of the 3 roo's going through one 25 lb bag a month.

I have 6 chickens! one dog, she is a Coton De Tulear and the smartest doggie alive! I also have several goldfish aproaching seven years old.

99.999% of girls would die if Justin Bieber appeared at their doorstep and asked for a date. If your that 0.0001% Who's wiping blood from your fist, put this in your siggy.
