chicken coops

I scroll through the pictures and the coops are beautiful! I am still trying to figure out what to use for a coop, no tools to built with or the experience. I am thinking that I am going to have hire a carpenter to build coop and run. I am advertising on craiglist for a small coop or large dog house see what happens.

If you need plans to hand to a carpenter or handyman take a look at the Garden Coop.  I recommend it because I've seen it in person at the designer's home and a buddy of mine built one.  He had no real construction experience and it turned out really well.  The plans are inexpensive and very complete.

I suggest you go to your local feed supply and check if they sell chicken coops. or go to thechickencoopsource.com and check there.

michelle59, if you are talking about a small coop  you may want to consider building it yourself. You really would not need many tools and you may even know someone to borrow tools from in exchange for future eggs. I'm sure that we (fellow BYC'ers) could walk you through a build. In my opinion is WAY cheaper and very satisfying (if you have the time and desire!)
