"BATOR GONE WILD".....wee.gif.........OK, supposedly tomorrow was hatch day for my fridge bator but this crazy box started pipping 3 days ago and a total of 45 chicks hatched during this 3 days....this morning there were no chicks only 26 eggs remaining so i decided to candle....sad to say out of the 26 only 6 showed life inside the other 20 had stopped developing ....so only 6 remain in my fridge bator and appear to have made it to it's legit hatch day which is 28th - 29th.....so total 45 healty chicks + 6 possible new borns = a possible 51 chicks out of 71 eggs.......i guess it's not that bad!!!!!.............old.gif

If you haven't tossed the ones you thought were duds, I'd leave them in for a few more days. Make sure they don't stink.

I did this a while back, and got really cruddy temperatures near the eggs, Unless you have a REALLY powerful fan, I would place the heating element in the bottom if I were you.

On my profile I have a page about my fridge incubator, I don't have it any more, I now have a Homemade Cabinet incubator.

Here is a link to my thread about the cabinet incubator. (made from a shipping crate)
