Leghorns are great egg laying chickens. They are friendly to other Leghorns and can easily fly. The only problems is that they are bad in the pecking order and they can make a mess of the yard....

seem like a good breed, if i had the room i would probably raise a batch of them they seem like they would be a good 4h starter show bird...considering i dont see many of this breed in my class...

I am setting 18 eggs today. Im doing 12 Rhode island reds and six mixed eggs. (the rooster was a rhode island red). My original plan was to set on st patty's day, but a fox got our rooster so i had to speed things up a bit. I guess they will almost be easter babies! So who's with me?

1 pearl white leg horns hens, 2 barred rocks,1black australorp, 3 rhode island reds, 4 mixed hens, 1 dog, 4 mules

I sat quail eggs. They will be ready before yours though. If you wait and sit eggs tomarrow, they'll be part of Mahonys Easter Hatch Along, if you sign up.

So I only ended up setting 17 eggs. Today is day 6..I candled and I am very disappointed ! i have 7 of my rhode island that look clear (im leaving them a few more days just to be sure) and I had to toss 1 because it looked clear and had a crack.
