Chickens in Hutto Texas

Hey everyone. Well I contacted my local animal control officer this morning here in Hutto. Becky, is our ONLY animal control officer in Hutto! She is really nice and very helpful! This is what she said to me regarding keeping chickens here.............

 

   "I don't care if you have chickens, just make sure your neighbors are ok with it"

 

So........Here in  Hutto, we are allowed to have ten chickens. I couldn't be happier!!! Amazingly, she didn't say anything about keeping a roo, but I don't think I will push the issue.

Hi there!! I know this post was about a year ago, but I also live in Hutto and wanted to see how it is going with the chickens? Do you live in a subdivision with an HOA or just "Hutto" in general? I live in a subdivision with an HOA that states it is against chickens but I didn't know how things were going for you? I don't want to get any and then have to give them up (my neighbors can surely be bought off with free eggs lol) Thanks for your help! :)
