I will be bringing a hatch of chicks that is due to hatch on Wednesday. So they will be about 3-4 weeks old at the time of the swap. I may have 1 year old laying hens to sell as well.

My best friends: 30 some odd chickens (BO, BR, GLW, Red Sexlinks, some 1/2 BO, 1/2 any of those breeds), 2 horses (Standardbred, Standardbred Appy X), 2 dogs (Lab x Golden Retriever and Aussy mix), and 2 cats.

Got my SCRAPIE tags today, so I will be bringing some of my baby goats. At that time they will all be fully weaned and just over 2 months old. We have Nubians that can be registered(doelings and bucklings) and Cashgora fiber goat doelings.

If you are interested in any of these, please let me know. 008.JPG003.JPG001.JPG022.JPG

Hey luvmygoats!

Glad to hear that you can make it! I forget, are Nubians a dairy breed? If so, are yours good milkers? Just curious, thanks...

Yes, Nubians are dairy goats. 2 of the moms are excellent milkers out of Valley View Farm in Topsfield, Mass ( as well as our buck) and are from wonderful milking lines. We have 2 doelings and 1 buckling out of them. The pick is of Muddy Hoof Darla...check out her udder!

The other 2 moms are out of Noah's Ark Nubians in Rutland, Vt  and are excellent milk008.JPGers as well. We have 2 bucklings out of them available.

OK, thanks! BTW, I just put two and two together! You are Muddy Hoof Farm, right? I have seen your ads on Craigslist!

I will be attending the Lewiston Swap, Will be bringing chicks of various ages, maybe some black spanish turkey chicks, maybe BST hatching eggs if anyone is interested in hatching some. I will have EE's chicks, Black Copper Marans, Buff Orphington chicks, plus some more that are mixed.

Yes, that 's right, we are Muddy Hoof Farm.

We will also be bringing some chicks and hatching eggs if anyone is interested, and hopefully some ducklings and poults.

Polly! Good to finally see you! I am the person that you came and got hatching eggs from, in Livermore! I have been trying to look you up on here, but I spelled your username wrong, and that's why I couldn't find you! Glad to hear that you are coming... Did you have a good hatch out of those eggs?

Hi Polly C -

I DEFINITELY want 3 EEs and 3 BCMs.  I would even paypal a deposit or the entire amount.

I really, really, really want to add more color to my egg basket, and I love my EE but only have one & want more colored eggs.  I love the Marans, too.

I am getting so excited for the swap & meeting some area BYCers!

I don't have any critters to bring, but I can bring some cinnamon buns or cookies for people to nibble on.

I am glad no one is bringing English Angora bunnies.  That would be trouble.

I should be careful what I say... Until today I was glad no one was bringing BCMs...

Good thing the man of the house is hiking for 6 months.  It is better to ask forgiveness than permission (At least, that is what he always says.  Think he'll still feel that way when he gets home?!).

I have 2 wonderful sons, 3 ducks (2 Anconas & 1 Buff), 4 laying hens, a Holland Lop bunny, and a big scaredy cat.  I am a Chef, Baker, Bluegrass "Musician" (I know, you can't do both) and artisan.
