guineas can be very loud, my friend had them and let me tell you, they pretty loud. they made good watch dogs. She had to get rid of them because they would not stay out of the road and kept going to the neighbors. But they are good for getting those ticks

Well ladies, your gonna think I am nuts. I posted earlier about all the baby turkeys dying, guess what, my friend came home from work and found 9 hatched and 1 more half out. I just spoke to her and they are doing good. I guess she jumped the gun. She wants to keep an eye on them till this weekend then they will be ready to go.

Black Spanish Turkeys for $8 each.

Spottedbat (Caitlin) just told me that she is going to be bringing raw colored icelandic sheep wool. And she is looking for hatching duck eggs for a broody. I will add them to the second post.

My best friends: 30 some odd chickens (BO, BR, GLW, Red Sexlinks, some 1/2 BO, 1/2 any of those breeds), 2 horses (Standardbred, Standardbred Appy X), 2 dogs (Lab x Golden Retriever and Aussy mix), and 2 cats.

I went today and was looking for black or lavender Ameraucanas.  I would also be happy to find a D'Anvers, Mille Fleur probably, for my daughter to show with 4H (I think.  I just read about APA stuff too.)  There were no birds there but a really nice woman with lots of goats and a calf and a few bunnies.  She says that all the bird folks went to Augusta.  I couldn't go because I had to be around while my kids visited with their father from 9:30-1 in Brunswick.  Sounds like the weather was much nicer in Augusta.  If anyone has a great kid-friendly bird for my daughter, preferably bantam, please let me know.  I want the lavs and blacks for our farm breeding.  Thank you.

augusta did have a good turn out, we usually do. I also heard brunswick had just 1 vendor.

advertising goes a long way in these swaps.
