I am an old timer from WAY back and had everything on our farm and now I'm starting over again and feel like a total newbie with our new Buff Orpinton's and our barred sexlinks fryers (and 2 Pekin ducks that we just got today)....I am looking for the plans for the simple chicken wire, "tunnel" that Mother Earth News put out YEARS ago and I can't find it to save my life. If anyone has any suggestions or has the link or has those plans? It was a 2x4 and chicken wire "tunnel" for tractoring chickens and I can probably mickey mouse it along but was hoping to read about that particular one again....Any help would be appreciated. I'm new here and kinda excited about being here. Thanks! We have Bunnies and a Pomeranian, too. Going to get some goats, soon. Thanks! Sharlene Risinger and Family

Thank you! I saw quite a few of the same "concept" of the one from Mother Earth News but none of them are using JUST 2x4's and chicken wire. This one was DIRT cheap and you JUST use a 2x4 frame that lays on the ground and attach your chicken wire to the frame. Light weight and CHEAP. LOL Thanks for responding! Sharlene

Just try searching for chicken tractors, you might get some ideas. Or make a lightweight pvc hoop house type thing and cover it in wire. It would be easy to move around.

Wow thank you all! I feel so welcome! I was so happy when I saw it here and was able to join. All of my baby chicks and those two ducks are doing awesome right now. The light is on and they are dispersed around the pen and not huddling around the light. So I think they are all ok. Hoping for NO losses. He gave us two "spares" and I hope not to lose any of them. Thanks again! And I have to agree this is some beautiful country down here in the Ozarks. And the people are nice, too. God bless. Sharlene
