That was fun! I just went to "look". I have Standard Bronze, Blue Slate and Black Spanish turkeys coming in next week and don't have enough room to quarantine, but I did get my Father inlaw a couple gray runner ducklings he is very happy with!..I'm looking forward to the one in June, I'm needing some EE'gers....So, what did everyone else get?

I got 8 pigeons, 6 Buckeye chicks, 1 white cochin chick, 3 rabbits, 3 eggs and a rooster. Then zookeeper gave me 3 silkie roos and some silkie babies which are gorgeous. They will probably find new homes, because they are so friendly that they are the best ones to give to people who are just starting out with chickens. And I just LOVE starting people out with chickens. Even the most reluctant people will let their kid or wife or whoever try a few free chickens.

I'll be happy to help you out with those EE's!

Here's what I brought home-

1 Blue Ameraucana roo-plan to use him to darken the blue shade of my current EE's and produce more EE's as well.

1 Blue Ameraucana hen (got my first egg night of swap)celebrate.gif  (Planning to hatch out some more babies to keep)

1 gorgeous EE (got my first egg from her the night of the swap too) thumbsup.gif  Hoping that the chicks look like their mama

(-one fellow at the swap was looking for beardless easter eggers- I should have more at the next swap available. If you'd like me to hold some for you, please let me know-sorry, I can't remember your name)

1 French Black Copper Marans roo-will cross him with some EE's to darken them up for dark olive eggs.

2 pair of guineas (got my first egg from one today yesss.gif  I really want to get some more to hatch out. May have some keets to bring to the next swap.

I forgot to mention that I went home from the swap and my broody hen had hatched 7 eggs. I also have more chicks that I didn't take but ARE for sale. If anyone is needing more chicks, please send me a PM.

Also, if there is a swap in DuBois, please be sure to post it here too.

Ended up not making it. :( Stayed on the couch, sick, all day instead, lol. Hopefully I can make it in June!

I was not able to make it, but I still need to get some chicks. Does anyone have any Easter Eggers, Silver Spangled Hamburg and/or Blue Andalusian baby chicks? I am only looking to get a few of each. Please pm me with what you have, location and price. I live between DuBois and Punxsy and can't travel far. I usually have Sundays and some weekdays open to be able to pick up or meet somewhere, but I have to be home by 6pm though. I will be posting this on the fb group also. Thank you smile.png

ETA:

Still looking. I will be traveling to Johnstown, going through Homer City and down 56 on Sunday. Anyone between 15715 and Goucher St. in Johnstown have any? Do not need show quality, just want to add to my small flock as my oldest 5 have been giving me less than 1 egg a day between the 5 of them. Another thing, hubby won't let me spend over $4 per chick :( Is that even doable?
