I'm planning on coming out. I'm looking for Polish, speckled sussex, call ducks, a red/golden pheasant hen, turkey poults and sebbies. I'll have ameracauna, delaware chicks and pekin and khaki ducklings. If anyone is interested I have 1 roo and 5 hen Delawares that are around 9 months old that I'm thinking on trading off or selling. Email me at ferrperr@yahoo.com if you have something I may be interested in or if you want any of what I have. I may have more to sell at that time.

I think I've decided to go for some turkeys this year. If anyone is bringing eggs, could you bring a dozen for me?

This would be my first try at turkeys, I will be raising them next to my chickens (not in the same coop but separated by wire).

I was told this isnt a good idea since turkeys have mites real bad, is this the case? Is it a bad idea to have turkeys with chickens and guineas?

Aukuma: I don't know about the mite thing, but have a call in to our County Extension office about turkeys as I too am considering hatching them out. I've been told that if 'blackhead' is prevalent with chickens in your area that you should not mix them with your poults. Also, I've heard that having turkeys in with your chickens can decrease or eliminate Mareks, sooooo.... Still waiting on the callback from the extension office on these two issues.
