Two black chickens!

Thread Starter
I have a pair of 'black' shamos. The rooster is not quite all black since it has a lot of white on the wi gs and tail. The hen is all black. This pair produced 3 white and 2 part white and part black. I was unser the impression the i should have gotten 1 white out of 4 and the rest should have been black or semi black. Is it possible that this pair have more than a white recessive gene?

The percentages of recessive colors is based on an average of 100 offspring.  You could have just as easily gotten all blacks . Your results are nothing unusual.
