How were your eggs packed that were detached?

I think it is a great idea !  mine are upstairs where my bedroom is- so I can hear them at night but not during the day- I do a lot of trips up and down the stairs :)  The eggs were in a single box, wrapped in bubble wrap with peanuts.  I have had better results with double boxed shipments.

2 horses, 40+ hens, pullets, roosters,  4 Sebastopol/Toulouse cross geese, 2 ganders, 5 goslings, 7 golden 300 ducks, 3 Pekins, 6 bourbon red poults, 3 pigs... oh- and 50 cornish cross chicks.  Naturally raised turkeys, pigs, and broilers are sold for eating.

I haven't gotten that many eggs, but some I got were bubbled wrapped inside of egg crates with bubble wrapping around that and lots of packing inside and then the outside was marked fragile, live hatching eggs, this end up.  They came perfect.  They looked like I had just picked them up out of the yard.  Here is a picture of my big pipper.

The egg that is directly behind the one in the picture actually pipped earlier this morning.  That little baby has been born!  Baby #2 is working on getting out.  Baby #1 keeps going over and cheeping at the egg were the hole is.  Everything seems to be going well.....

I had a scare last night - my temps were running a little low so I adjusted my thermostat...usually a minor adjustment is all it takes but I have had to play with it a little the last week, since we've had such temperature extremes here...

Then I went to bed - I was reading, about to fall asleep, but I remembered to check the incubator one last time to be sure it was okay. If I hadn't...my eggs would have ROASTED.

My water wiggler temp (which I can read from outside the incubator) was over 102, so I opened up the bator to turn it down, and the interior temp was up to 118!!!

I was playing with the thermostat but couldn't get it to turn off - it would click like it should have switched off the light - but the light was still on.  I thought maybe it'd broken - but then I thought to play with the wires a little bit - and one of the wires from the bulb to the thermostat must have been a little loose??  Because once I adjusted them slightly it was working again.

I candled this morning and all eggs look okay.  I did have one quit on me the other day, and one is too dark to see if I have any movement.  So I have either 17 or 18 out of 22.  I am so relieved I didn't kill any last night!  I'm really lucky I caught it so quickly.  I left it low last night, it was about 98.2, but it was 3 AM by the time I got to sleep again and I just didn't have the energy for more adjustments - I figured better a little low than too high again!  And this morning I was able to adjust it to 99.5.

Only 4 more days for lockdown for me...I am super excited!  I really hope nothing else goes wrong!

I have Russian Orloffs, Wheaten Marans, Silkies/Showgirls, and lots of EE and OE's.
