This is my first time hatching and I was wondering (and getting nervous) if I should have heard something or seen my little eggies moving? I am on day 19 now, tonight at 8 pm will be the start of day 20. Thank you so much!! All of you have been so helpful!

First, CONGRATS!!!!!

Next, just be patient!!!! Sometimes they won't even pip till day 21. Don't open your incubator and sit back and wait for the fun!!!!!!

Keep us posted :)

Thank you so much!!! I really appreciate it!! I am so incredibly excited

When I did my first hatch in an incubator a couple years ago, I got on here. It so helped to ask questions, get advice and just have people to talk to that were as crazy about chickens as me !

Keep us posted on how you are doing!

The chicks will pip internally before they pip the outside shell. Once they pip into the air sac and start breathing air you will begin to hear chirping, even before you see any visual signs of pipping. Have fun!!

Good luck..I too am a first time hatcher. I am on day 13 and I am going crazy..I cant wait to see my fuzzy butts, I cant wait to see what this cross will produce.

Good luck!! I'm also having a first time hatch with an incubator and I'm really nervous! Today is day 16 for me. What breeds are you hatching? I've got blue Orpington and welsummer eggs in plus 1 barnyard mix from my own hens:)

Thanks everyone!! I am so incredibly nervous that something is wrong since I can't hear them yet and they aren't moving. Day 20 starts in 3 hours!!

I have 20 Welsummers and 6 Americauna mixes. I don't know what they are mixed with so it will be a surprise. These chicks are my new flock because while we were building our house we were renting a house down the road and someone stole my chickens from our rental : (
