First of all, without doing lab work, you have absolutely no way of knowing whether or not your meat chickens, or eggs, or anything else has any more or less pathogens than the commercially produced ones.  Secondly, this research sounds a whole like the result of that old computer mantra GIGO.  Garbage In = Garbage Out.  My sister has been troubled with UTI's for years, and she is a vegetarian. I, on the other hand, have never had a UTI and I eat chicken, some home raised, some not, several times a week.

Well, you are right there is no "sure" way to know without "lab testing". I, for one, however think that the natural way is obviously going to be the healthier way.I think it definitely makes a difference if you do things the way they were intended to be done, and that does not include commercially grown no matter how "well" it is done. Just my .02

I am not at all offended.  I have worked on commercial  farms though.  I was employed as a milker on a cow dairy, and I had my own commercial goat dairy for many years.  My point is simply this.  Without testing you really do not know if your home grown products are free from salmonella or e coli or anything else or whether they have fewer pathogens than what you get at the store. You can assume your home grown products are clean and safe. I did and do. For instance, I never pasteurized the milk I brought home from the cow dairy or the milk from my goats before using it. But without testing you really don't know. And in reality,  testing home produced products won't do you all that much good.  It will only tell you about that one sample that was tested.
