Ha!  He thinks one of the sebbie females is his girlfriend.  She was setting eggs, and he sleeps with her and protects her.  He thinks he's the baby daddy, lol.  When the ganders were breeding, if one was on his girl, he'd attack the gander and try to pull him off of her.  Hilarious to watch!

Yep, he needs some girls of his own kind so he can truly be a daddy, LOL

My Silkie Duck for the 4/11 hatch pipped and then died on me. hit.gif

I've also got a runner pipped. The runner is alive and well and working on the long process of getting out.  love.gif

I'm a little panicky now. If this hatch goes badly, I will have people disappointed. Hubby over-presold ducklings and I need a miracle hatch.

Only the one for this first hatch. I had thought at first that my boss had accidentally slipped me a chicken egg again. We're only getting about 1 Silkie egg a week at the farm right now, I almost wonder if the hen is hiding eggs somewhere.

I have four more in various stages of development. I was sad to lose this first one though, fully formed little one.

I've got three runners pipped now though. Got little quacklings to look forward to!

Day 7 and I can't really see anything - I put them in at night, but a few hours can't make that much difference.  Blue, My Blue Drake must not be getting those eggs fertilized.  This is the first time that has happened.  :  (   .   I wish I could get some Welsh Harlequin eggs I would hatch those.

1 Son, 1 Border Collie, 1 Kitty, 7 Runner Ducks, and two Anconas

Uh-oh! How many of what do you have that need homes? Don't forget the buy-sell-auction section of the forums here and also Craigslist. cool.png

How long have they been laying?  It's taken almost a month of laying for my pastel Calls to have feritility.  Definitely wait a few more days before tossing them.  Do they look totally clear?
