May I join in? We put a dozen "mutts" in a homemade incubator the 21st around 9am. This is our first time for a hatch.fl.gif Last year we let our broody set about 8 with 6 hatching. We have a dozen in the "bator" now. idunno.gif

Mother to one stubborn boy, 1 daschund, 1 tabby, 7 hens. Married to one very easy going and extremely patient man!

I'm in!!!!

On the morning of 3/21, I set 18 comet or red sexlink eggs - I got them from my brother, and he's not sure exactly what his birds are. idunno.gif I also included 8 of my own - one green EE, 4 EE over BR and 3 EE over BO.  Hopefully, today I'll get a dozen or so game eggs from a friend (for something different) which I'm going to add, for a grand total of somewhere around 38-40. ep.gif  I'm not telling my wife how many are actually in the bator! tongue2.gif

We would like to join in too!! We set on wed. the 21st.   my wife, kids and I are first timers so this is all new to us. We put in 30 "mutt" eggs and the humidity is running about 45-50% and i have not added any water at all. Should I add a little water? Thank you

Humidity should be between 58% and 61% for still air and 56% to 70% for forced-air, depending upon the temperature in the incubator (according to The Chicken Health Handbook, Gail Damerow)

I use 102 degrees with 58%-60% humidity. Hope this helps!

Have fun hatching for your first time!!!
