First off, let me apologize for the quality of my pics. I don't know what happened. We stopped by TSC Monday. They were out of assorted bantams and red pullets. All they had were these "Americaunas" and Cornish Rocks and a tub of Pekin Ducks.
Here is what we picked out, #3 looks to be blue, and has a slight crossbeak, hope it isn't going to be a problem later.
The fun begins. Wish me luck that I didn't get too many roos - at this point ONE is too many lol!!

The guy looked in the box and said, "OK, you have 6 chicks and a duck." Got to the truck and counted - I KNEW there were 7 chicks!
So far we like our little EEs. Forgot how much we liked that peeping in the house!!!
BTW, the little duck stole the show. He's already the favorite and hates to let my wife out of his sight! First duck, so we'll see how this goes as well

Me Too! Im going to get some ducks. But first I have to build my pond. No duckies untill probably next spring:(
We have two ponds because we live on 7.5 acres but i'd not want my duckies venturing that far.. We also have a pool.. Lol!
Im just not aloud them :/ which sucks because they are so adorable..

Too cute!!!! Got 12 EE's and so far 7 Roos out of 12:( But, they sure are pretty! Your duck is so cute. Wondering how that would be to raise them together!

next spring!? There's no way I could wait that long!

Cute EE, did you get them from a straight run bin? When I got mine they were all pullets

If it were up to me, I most certainly wouldn't be waiting! But, unfortunately I've got this thing called a family that keeps inter fearing with my chicken habit. The one known as "husband" is especially demanding when it comes to things like 'paying the bills'. Ugh. They just don't understand.
