When to start 12 on 12 off schedule

Hey, y'all, I finally took the plunge and ordered 125 CX meaties. They just came in today.

I know a lot of you swear by the 12 on 12 off feed schedule to keep them manageable and avoid CHF and other issues. So my question is, at what age do you start that?

Thanks. Looking forward to your responses.

Welp Hatchery suggests you start the feed restriction at five days.  They have an excellent Cornish X care guide on their web site.  Check it out.  http://www.welphatchery.com/cornish_rock.asp

Also helpful. Thanks, cassie. I like the idea of coordinating it with moving them outside, though. I'll let you know how it goes.

I usually start at one to one-and-a-half weeks depending on how they are eating.

It's pretty simple...having chickens is work, but lots of fun.
