Hi i have 3 chickens had them about 8 months they are on layers mash mixed with potatoe, I am going away soon for 5 weeks and wan to give them layers pelletts as it will be better for my friend when she looks after them, have tryed for a week but they will not eat them, so gone back to the mash, will they eat the pellets if i dont give them anythnig else, or will they starve first.

try combining the 2 feeds so they get both and then gradually increase the amount of layers pellets and reduce the mash.

 

2 skylines, 2 rangers, 1 rhode rock, 1 white sussex, 1 bluebell, 1 coucou, 1 amber, 1 whitestar, 1 columbian blacktail, 1 copper black, 2 mealworm farms,2 cats 2 rabbits.
